The Scribner House is a gorgeous Victorian originally built in 1885 and has been thoughtfully updated since. The circular driveway welcomes you to the lovely covered side porches, one going to the primary double door entry and the other directly into the kitchen. So many original details on the exterior to admire - the corbels and gingerbread trim in the eaves, lace-like wood detail along the porch roofline, stacked porches, and dormer windows are just a few. Walk into the home, and the first floor welcomes you with wide pine floors, an eat-in kitchen with a large beadboard island, and a spacious dining room that is flooded with sunshine from the many windows looking out at the large oak tree. Also on the first floor is the living room/parlor, a family room with a wood stove, and the original entryway. Moving to the second floor you will find two bedrooms with a full bath, plus a primary bedroom suite with its own spacious bath and claw foot tub. The third-floor attic space has 3 finished rooms which can be used as bedrooms, guest rooms, or office space. There is also an unfinished area that had been permitted for an additional bath should you wish to add one. All of this is set on a glorious lot of gardens, orchard, maple trees, and an open yard, just perfect for enjoying the four seasons. You will also enjoy the natural organic produce this land provides including its well-established raspberries, grapes, blueberries, rhubarb, plums, crabapple, elderberry, quince, and perennial herbs and flowers including 8 varieties of heritage lilacs and multiple daffodils, hydrangea, iris, peony, among many others. An original barn foundation still resides - a valuable source of materials or structurally sound for your vision! More photos & virtual walk-thru to come. Showings will begin at the open house on June 18 from 1-3 pm.
