Amy has been at Keller Williams Realty Greater Portland since 2003, and Matt joined her in 2006. Since that time, Amy has focused on helping seller clients and Matt has been working with buyers.
Having moved to Freeport in 1993, Amy and Matt are very familiar with the Greater Portland area. Prior to their careers in real estate, Amy and Matt owned the Brewster House Bed & Breakfast in Freeport where customer service was the focus of their business. They are members of the Freeport Chamber of Commerce. Amy has served on the Freeport Housing Trust Board since 2007, and Matt is a member of Freeport Rotary, of which he was President during the 2014-15 term.
Amy and Matt have four children in their 20's & 30's. There are very few kids' sports that they have not spent time cheering on over the past 20 years-hockey, baseball, softball, soccer, golf, field hockey, lacrosse, track, basketball, and alpine skiing to name a few. They enjoy hiking, traveling, boating, and spending time on Lake Winnipesaukee in the summer.

Jennifer has a life-long passion for Maine and especially for Freeport and the surrounding towns.
Prior to starting her career in real estate Jennifer spent 18+ years working for major retailers including L.L. Bean, G.H. Bass, and Carhartt in a variety of product and management roles. This experience provided her with a keen business sense and deep understanding of the importance of great customer service. In the years preceding Real Estate Jennifer ran her own business as co-owner of an interior design and real estate staging business, which led to her interest in becoming a Realtor® in 2016.
Jennifer grew up in Freeport and returned to live their in 2003. She currently lives in Freeport with her husband, Dennis, and three college age boys. She is very active in the community and in the schools. Jennifer’s goals in working with clients are to understand each client’s specific needs, communicate often and effectively, provide outstanding customer service, and serve as their biggest advocate in order to earn their trust, referrals and repeat business.

Marji Swanson
Marji joins our team as an executive assistant. She brings 11 years of real estate experience and has assisted in over 700 transactions. Before real estate she worked as a deli and cashier supervisor. Every day locals made her day brighter by stopping in for a cup of coffee and a quick chat. She can still fold 15 pizza boxes per minute.
She enjoys cooking, brewing kombucha, and replicating beautiful Maine homes in The Sims 4. She can be found at the beach, farmers market, or vegan doughnut shop although she is happiest at home with her two cats and a cup of tea.
Born and raised in Hartford, Maine but has lived in South Portland since 2008 when she moved there to attend SMCC. Nothing makes her happier than hanging out in her backyard around a fire with friends and family.

Carolyn Buehner
Originally from New Mexico, Carolyn has called Maine home since 2014. She and her husband, Noah—who grew up Downeast—have lived in Freeport since 2016, where they’re active in the community and enjoy participating in local sporting events with their two children.
Real estate has long been a passion for Carolyn. Over the past nine years, she and her husband have transformed their Freeport fixer-upper home and property—building a shop for his tree care business and expanding the house for their growing family. Carolyn brings over a decade of corporate experience in HR, recruiting, and technology services.
Carolyn holds a master’s degree in Spanish and is fluent in both Spanish and Portuguese. She has lived abroad in Spain, Mexico, Argentina, and Brazil. In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors with family and friends—whether paddleboarding, skiing, hiking, or spending a day at the beach. She also loves baking and trying new recipes.
Carolyn is excited to pursue her long-held passion for real estate and looks forward to helping clients find their dream home or investment property. She’s thrilled to be joining Cartmell & Associates and to learn from such an experienced and welcoming team.
